Gregory Colbert's most famous work is probably Ashes and Snow. He travelled in India, Burma, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Dominica, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tonga, Namibia, and Antarctica to film and photograph interactions between human beings and animals. I must say the result is pure beauty.
Those pictures were taken by William Pennington and Lisle Updike in Colorado into the 1910s ... ! 1910s ! The quality is so amazing that I almost threw my digital camera into the garbage (almost).
Sarah Roads is actually two people: a husband and wife photographers. I love their portraits, and I wish I could find nice spot like that in my town !
